An affiliate of San Diego-based executive search firm Bespoke Partners has acquired a Little Italy office building for $4 million, with plans to relocate into the space later this year, according to brokerage firm CBRE Group Inc.
Brokers did not disclose the seller of the 10,500-square-foot property at 909 W. Laurel St., but CoStar Group data indicates the seller was an affiliate of Balboa Travel Management of San Diego. The two-story building was constructed on 0.23 acres in 1980 and was vacant at the time of sale.
The buyer was represented by Ryan King of Voit Real Estate Services. The seller was represented by Marc Frederick of CBRE and Bud Marsh of Colliers International Group Inc.
The buying entity, recorded as Bespoke Partners Investments LLC, is owned by Bespoke Partners founding partner Kristie Nova. The deal was an off-market transaction, where the property had not been listed for sale.
“The property was on the market for lease, however, the buyer realized the property’s value and made a very strong offer to purchase the building,” Frederick said in a CBRE statement.
Bespoke Partners has hired Basile Studios to design a contemporary creative office space. Currently based downtown at 600 B St., Bespoke plans to relocate to the new space within nine months.
